LuminaX HealthTech Accelerator Start-ups of the Year!

The LuminaX Health Accelerator for 2023 has concluded after a rigorous 14-week program. Now in its third year, the program offered 10 startups comprehensive support by taking start-ups through a rapid healthtech program aimed at accelerating growth and fast-tracking connections and customers.

The program was conducted by Cohort Innovation Space, located within Lumina, a 9.5-hectare development by the Queensland Government that is dedicated to fostering the growth of life sciences, health, and technology-related businesses within the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct.

On demo night, which took place on Thursday, July 27th, the LuminaX 2023 founders concluded the program by pitching their ideas to potential investors, mentors, and supporters. This event marked the official graduation of the LuminaX 2023 program startups.

We are excited to announce that the LuminaX award winners for 2023 are:

• Professor Dianne Shanley, Dr Wei Liu and Dr Erinn Hawkins co-founders of YourTrack for taking out the LX Start-up of the Year prize which will give them 2 x full time memberships at Cohort Innovation Space and post-program support. YourTrack helps to easily detect vulnerable children whose development is not on track, so they and their families can get the support they need to reach their potential.
• Dr Tia Cummins and technologist Pete Martin, co-founders of Flintworks – who have taken out the Parny Award including investment capital.  Flintworksis a clinical grade Virtual Reality (VR) therapy platform for treatment-resistant mental illnesses, starting with PTSD.
• Anna Lumb, founder of Nursify who took out the LuminaX Fan’s Favourite which will give her part time memberships at Cohort Innovation Space and post-program support for 12 months. Nursify is accelerating the search & discovery process for hospitals and nurses to ensure that positions are filled with the most suitable candidate, and patients receive the highest quality care.

These exceptional founders have demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and entrepreneurial spirit in developing their startups.
